989 Studios tried its hand at the Twisted Metal series last year with the third instalment and found that most Twisted Metal fans - Twisted Metal 2 picked up a lot of them - were flatly disappointed. 989 now promises that the fourth game in the series will have larger, more interactive environments and new weapons, levels, vehicles and music. It will also offer combo moves that are easier to perform, deathmatch-only levels, improved graphics and physics, and an "extended presence by Sweet Tooth himself".

The game is set for a November release and we'll have more details as the date draws closer. For now, take a look at the early shots.
