UK cable providers plan Net access move
A troika of the UK's leading cable providers are talking to @Home of the US about making cable-based Internet access a reality in this country.
Cable and Wireless Communications, NTL and Telewest may enter into a joint venture with @Home, according to a report in this morning's Financial Times.
Cable access could provide data transfer rates of 10Mbits/sec or faster, according to experts.
