US e-commerce reaches $19.8 bln in Q1 2005

US Q1 2005 e-commerce sales rose 23.8% YTY to $19.8 bln from $16 bln, according to the US Department of Commerce. E-commerce sales rose 6.4% QTQ, they were $18.6 bln in Q4 2004. E-commerce sales accounted for 2.2% of total retail sales in Q1 2005, when those sales were an estimated $916.9 bln.
