US Navy reports on Kosovo conflict "cyber-soldiers"

"Information warriors a great success"
Written by Will Knight, Contributor

A new report commissioned by the US Navy's European department reportedly claims the Kosovan conflict could have been shortened by "at least half" if the US Defence Department had adequately trained "cyber-soldiers".

According to US publication Federal Computer Week, the report suggests the so-called "information warriors" recruited for the conflict were, "too junior and from the wrong communities," although it reportedly describes the cyber-conflict generally as a "great success".

The report also suggests the US army's computer attack could have been improved by co-ordinating its resources more efficiently and having been tested in simulated battle.
