US online spending reaches $19.8 bln in Q1 2005

Americans spent $19.8 bln online in Q1 2005, a 6.4% increase from Q4 2004 and 24% increase Q1 2004, the Census Bureau reported. However, online retail sales represent a mere 2.2% of US Q1 2005 retail sales.
