VeriSign SSL customers can now receive visual warnings about site safety from their search engine, and have their site crawled every 24 hours for exploits by VeriSign's internet drones.

But the schemes are restricted to new and existing Verisign SSL customers - there is no free component.

One of the new schemes - VeriSign Seal-in-Search - allows the VeriSign symbol to appear next to VeriSign-secured websites when they are viewed in search engines, shopping sites and online listings

Currently Bing and Google search engines are supported, while Yahoo support is on its way, a VeriSign spokesman told ZDNet UK on Tuesday.

Web administrators can also submit their site to be included in daily malware scans by VeriSign and will receive notification of any infection.
