Making many people very happy, Verizon announced this evening that it will launch the Galaxy Nexus tomorrow, December 15th.
The device will sold for an expectedly-steep $299 alongside a new two-year contract.
Verizon will begin accepting online orders at 1 AM Thursday morning. Stores will have the device upon opening.
The Galaxy Nexus is the first device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, making its launch a fairly significant one for the short-term future of the OS.
In case you've forgotten, the Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65-inch 720p HD display, 1.2GHz processor, 32 GB of storage and a 1,850 mAh battery. It's also set to take advantage of Verizon's 4G LTE network.
The popular opinion seems to be that the Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone to date. And the popular opinion is spot on.
