Video game sales up 1% in units, down 2.5% in revenues

Industry dollar sales declined to $3.4 bln in the first two quarters of 2004, compared with $3.5 bln in the same period last year, according to figures released Thursday by the NPD Group. This represents a fall of 2.5% for hardware, software and accessories. However, overall unit sales went up by 1%.
