VMware reported strong third-quarter earnings on Monday, with year-on-year revenue growth of 32 percent.
VMware's earnings for the quarter were $178m (£113m), or 41 cents a share, on revenue of $942m. Non-GAAP earnings were 53 cents a share. As for the outlook, the company projected fourth-quarter sales of $1.03bn to $1.06bn, an increase of between 23 and 27 percent on a year ago. That range is better than the $1.03bn Wall Street analysts were projecting.
VMware delivered operating cash flow of $524m in the third quarter, and $1.9bn for the trailing 12 months. The company ended the quarter with $4bn in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments.
