Seems that Skype and eBay are not the only ones talking about how VoIP services will personalize communications.

Now, Classmates (the folks that let you find your fellow alums) and NetZero have teamed up to promote NetZero VoIP.

I didn't find out about this via a press release, but by an email forwarded to me by my girlfriend, who is a Classmates Gold Member.

This is a beta, and is being positioned by Classmates as follows:

"As a Gold member of Classmates, we're excited to give you a sneak peak at the newest potential Classmates feature. We've teamed with NetZero so you can make calls from your computer to anyone, anytime, anywhere in the world—for free. All you and your friends need is the NetZero VOIP software. You can download it here.

"Invite your friends to use NetZero VOIP so you can talk to each other for free—even before it is released to the public. Just send them an email inviting them to get join at: http://www.netzerovoip.com/."

I don't see any specific info on how this will integrate- but I would think a "Call This Member" icon would make sense.

The more I think about this deal, the more I like it. You?
