Sometimes you find the darndest things hidden inside press releases.
Take for example this press release Vonage put out yesterday announcing the appointment of Martin Hakim Din as senior vice-president of Vonage Broadband.
Seems as though part of the job description for this chap will be to pursue bundled services for Vonage similar to the deal with EarthLink and their muni WiFi offerings in seven cities.
Says so on the release right here:
Earlier this year, Vonage announced a deal with EarthLink to resell WiFi in cities throughout the US, and soon we'll be announcing new arrangements with other fixed broadband services to enhance Vonage's growing portfolio of products that will be bundled and marketed alongside Vonage phone service.
Now if they'd only give Cricket Wireless a call, Vonage could show they are comprehensively serious -rather than piecemeal serious- about bundling their services to form triple-play offerings.
