3dfx Interactive announced Wednesday that it has temporarily delayed the release of its Voodoo5 5500 AGP graphics card.
In a statement, the company said it was working with suspected problems with field failure rates and needs to conduct further tests. The company said it expects the delay to take between seven and 14 days.
"We believe that this affects only a small number of configurations, but we feel that this is the safest thing to do," said Randy Schussler, vice president of operations at 3dfx Interactive.
