Walmart offering free cases with Nintendo 3DS pre-orders

Now that we know when the Nintendo 3DS will launch in the United States and for how much, it's time for the bundles and accessories to start rolling out.

Now that we know when the Nintendo 3DS will launch in the United States and for how much, it's time for the bundles and accessories to start rolling out.

Walmart appears to be the first one ready on this front. The mega-retailer is offering a free Flex Case bundled with the $249 3DS. If you want it later or from somewhere else, it's $10 sold separately. These orders will start shipping on or around March 27.

It's a nice offer, especially for anyone already planning to buy a Nintendo 3DS. But it's not quite enticing enough to attract a consumer who might be on the fence (or not interested in a 3DS at all).
