Watford P-166 MMX PC costs south of £800
Watford Electronics today underlined its intention of getting serious in PCs by releasing a fully-loaded 166MHz Pentium MMX-based system for under £800.
Branded Aries, the £799 + VAT desktop unit comes with 512Kb cache, 16Mb EDO RAM, 2.5Gb hard drive, 12-speed CD-ROM drive, 2Mb Matrox Mystique graphics card, Sound Blaster 32 card, 15-inch monitor and Windows 95.
"We're trying to get a real brand name in the SME market," said Mohamed Mawji, director of the firm's PC division.
