A quick look at some notable developments this morning.

Microsoft, Google, Yahoo get along.
Hooray. The trio cooperates to improve search with a new protocol dubbed Sitemaps. What's next? Regular happy hours?

Zune has a pulse...a faint one. You'd think all the hubbub would get Microsoft's Zune player out of the gate quickly. Anecdotally, the Zune seems to be sales challenged. PriceGrabber.com has the Zune 13th on the popularity list. On Amazon, the Zune is 14th in terms of best selling players. (These rankings change in real-time.) The Zune is 17th at Circuit City. Best Buy didn't rank Zune based on sales, but certainly isn't giving it much play. Mediocre player equals mediocre sales.
