WiMax base stations to generate $2.6 bln in 2009

iSuppli predicts revenue from WiMax base-station and customer-premise equipment (CPE) sales worldwide will achieve CAGR of only 14-25% from 2004 through 2007. The market will not enter its rapid-growth phase until 2008 and 2009, when sales will rise by 47% and 66%, respectively. By 2009, the market will swell to $2.6 bln in size, rising at a compound-annual-growth rate (CAGR) of 31.3% from $503 mln last year.
