Microsoft has sold more than 350 million licences for its Windows 7, a year-and-a-half after Microsoft launched its latest operating system.

Analysts at Gartner predict that Windows 7 will be running on 43 percent of PCs by the end 2011.

In October 2010, Microsoft said Windows 7 was its fastest selling operating system ever, at which point Windows 7 had sold 240 million licences.
