Microsoft has updated the Windows Phone 7 update page. Things are starting to move now, but WP7 handset owners on the AT&T network still have to wait.
Here's the updated information for the US and international markets:
AT&T however is still dragging its heels. When approached for comment here's what an AT&T spokesperson had to say:
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay of Windows Mobile 7. AT&T will make this update available once it has achieved technical acceptance in our labs. Unfortunately, we do not have a date for when an AT&T-approved update will be available.
What's really depressed me in relation to these Windows Phone 7 updates is the crazy length of time the process has taken, especially considering the fact that these updates have been pretty minor in nature. I'd hate to see how long a major update would take to go though the carrier testing (equally, I'd hate to think how long a critical security update would take to filter through to handsets worldwide).
