Yahoo! and Google 2004 new revenues comparable with 10 largest newspaper publishers

Outsell compared Google and Yahoo! with 10 largest newspaper publishers: Reed Elsevier, Thomson, Gannett, Pearson, Tribune, Reuters, McGraw-Hill, VNU, Wolters Kluwer, and the Daily Mail and General Trust. Google and Yahoo! combined generated $6.5 bln in 2004 total revenue, compared to a total of $60 bln by the 10 largest companies. But when it comes to new revenue, Google and Yahoo! also have generated $4 bln, the same amount as the 10 largest companies combined.
