ZDNet UK launches its Service and Reliability survey
ZDNet UK is launching a major survey of UK enterprise IT, and we need your help.
In exchange for your time, we'll give you the most up-to-date, unbiased and pertinent report on what people like you are buying for the enterprise, how well it's working and what happens when it goes wrong.
This is not your average survey. It is designed to provide results that will be as useful as possible to you in your job, whether you are planning your next big deployment, in negotiation with suppliers or dealing with problems down the line. To that end, we've made the survey detailed and comprehensive — and for that to work, we're asking you to be as detailed and comprehensive in return. The more you can give us, the more we can give you.
The survey covers 11 areas of enterprise IT: desktop PCs, notebooks, smartphones, mobile network operators, servers, network infrastructure, peripherals, business applications, unified communications, network security and cloud services.
You can choose which of those you'd like to answer: then, for each of them, we'd like to know which suppliers you've used, how satisfied you are with the service or equipment, what (if anything) has gone wrong, and your intentions for the future.
Not everyone will have data on all areas, but everything helps.
There's also an area in each section where you can leave us any further information.
Please feel free to circulate the survey in your company to those at the sharp end, to collect the most accurate information you can. We'll be running the survey for a month, so there's plenty of time. And let us know if there are things we should know, or if you have any questions about the survey. We plan to build on what we learn this time around to make it even better next — and to build up a unique body of data on the real experiences of running enterprise IT.
All submissions will be kept strictly confidential. Nobody but ZDNet UK staff working on the results will see individual returns, and no individual information will be passed on to anyone else.
The results, however, will be published in full.
