As the UK's leading IT Web site we're constantly searching for ways to improve our service and make your visit to ZDNet UK as enjoyable and efficient as possible. The latest step in this process was taken last night with the move to faster, dedicated servers, and some major restructuring work within the site.

The transition has gone extremely well and the only effect you should see is an improvement in speed. However it's inevitable that with such a major operation there will be minor glitches. We apologise for any errors that you might encounter, and ask that you bear with us while we iron out the bugs.

The restructuring of ZDNet UK does mean that your bookmarks will need to be updated to reflect the layout of the new servers. Your old links will still work, but to experience the maximum benefit of the new system you should renew any bookmarks that were made before December 16, 1997.
