Optus has restored its website, corporate VPN, and IP services overnight after a major DNS outage across Australia overnight.

The services were believed to have gone down at around 6pm AEST last night, with Optus' website, online payments, corporate VPN, corporate IP services, external proxies, and internet access in Optus stores all affected.

Although some services were restored late last night, Optus' engineers conducted several routing switchovers overnight that restored the remaining services this morning.

An Optus spokesperson said that Optus' mobile network had not been affected by the issue, and apologised for the outage.
