One of the Top 10 lists on The Late Show with David Letterman this week was the "Top 10 excuses of the guy who lost the iPhone prototype." Some of the one-liners were pretty funny - at least from the perspective of someone who follows the tech industry and has read way too much about this lost iphone.

By the way, the No. 1 excuse on the list was just Classic. That aside, it was interesting to hear Dave go on a little rant about his thoughts on the subject. Before reading the list, he chimes in with:
Frankly, I'm a little sick, fed up with the Apple people. Because, first of all, nobody's got any money. Second of all, if we had any money would we need it on a, on a thing that makes our life easier? Well, of course, that's not what you want to spend your money on, is it? (Laughter). Maybe it is. Maybe that is what you want to spend your money on... This comes under the category for me of who cares? Honestly, I just couldn't care less about this. And this guy, I mean I hope he doesn't lose his job, but does this affect my life? No, it doesn't affect my life at all. Does it affect the lives of these people here? No, it doesn't affect anybody. It's just an idiot. He drunk and he drops the thing. Big deal.
For those of us who have been following this story, Dave's comments kind of put things into perspective, huh? Still, he goes on to read the list and, even though a few of the list items don't get any laughs, Dave manages to kick down a couple of zingers.
