2009 is drawing to a close, and with CES just around the corner, there's plenty of buzz online about new digital cameras and camcorders to look forward to next year.

Samsung: Channel News Australia is reporting that Samsung will be releasing a new SLR model at CES in Las Vegas. Supposedly, it will have video capability (720p), and it will be mirror-less and feature a new range of removable lenses.

One camera that is definitely being released next year is the recently-announced Samsung CL80. The 14-megapixel camera will come with a 31-mm wide-angle lens and a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Besides HD video recording capability, it will also feature Wi-Fi! No word on pricing or release dates, but I bet we'll see more about that one next week.

Nikon: The Nikon rumors are less confirmed, but Huliq has a round-up of rumors from Thom Hogan's Nikon Blog and Nikon Rumors that we'll see an upgrade from the Nikon D90, D700 and D3000. But there isn't much certainty on new model numbers, prices and release dates - only that we should see improvements in HD video recording.

What are you hoping to see announced and released next year?
