Next week, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan will pay a visit to Facebook's headquarters in Palo Alto, California. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg will be conducting a live-streamed video interview with the three men over on Facebook Live.

The official Facebook Event, titled Facebook Live with House Republican Leaders, is scheduled for 3:00 PM PDT / 6:00 PM EST on September 26, 2011. If you have questions for the three Republican leaders, you can post on the event's Wall in hopes that they will answer one of them during the interview.

According to the announcement, the trio will "talk about what they're doing in Washington D.C. to help the U.S. economy rebound and how technology is changing the way government works." The three leaders are sometimes referred to as the "Young Guns" since they co-authored last year's paperback, "Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders."

The Republican Party isn't very popular on Facebook. It has some 160,000 Facebook Likes on its official Facebook Page. The Facebook interview is clearly an attempt by the party to grow its online following.

The last two people to visit Facebook's headquarters were Oprah Winfrey and US President Barack Obama. Something tells me this one won't be as popular as the last two.
