CES 2010: D-Link announces Boxee Box; stream media from anywhere for less than $200

CES 2010: D-Link on Tuesday officially announced the Boxee Box, a media streaming device that flows movies, TV shows, music and photos to an HDTV from a home network or the Internet.

D-Link on Tuesday officially announced the Boxee Box, a media streaming device that flows movies, TV shows, music and photos to an HDTV from a home network or the Internet.

The company is stressing that the Box can access all the Internet's useful (and time-wasting) content, from university courses and panel discussions to, well, keyboard cat. The device has support for RSS or XML feeds and has 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity.

Compatible with PC, Mac and Linux, the Boxee Box offers social features for discovering new content from friends on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter,Pandora, Last.fm, shoutcast, flickr and Picasa.

The Boxee Box can also automatically identify the cover art, subtitles, lyrics and other pertinent infomation for your library's content. It's also got lots of format and codec support:
