At CES 2011, Motorola and Verizon announced the Motorola Xoom tablet, a 10.1-inch device with a dual-core processor and Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
LAS VEGAS -- Motorola and Verizon on Wednesday announced the Motorola Xoom tablet, a 10.1-inch device with a dual-core processor and Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
The tablet offers 1080p HD video support and is one of the splashier entrants in this year's tablet race.

- A 2GHz dual-core processor
- 10.1-inch widescreen HD (1280x800) display
- 4G LTE upgradeable
- 1080p HD video support
- HDMI output
- Adobe Flash Player support
- Front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chats over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G LTE
- Rear-facing 5-megapixel camera that captures video in 720p HD.

- Built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting
- Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction
- Mobile hotspot capability for up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices
Motorola's Xoom will launch as a 3G/Wi-Fi-enabled device in Q1 2011 with an upgrade to 4G LTE in Q2.
