MetroPCS and Samsung have gotten official with the new Galaxy Indulge, already being boasted as the "world's first commercially available 4G LTE Android smartphone."

Following in the footsteps of the less-than-exciting Samsung Craft, the Indulge has slightly improved specs here and there, including Android 2.2, a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera/camcorder, and a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor.

The Froyo-based Indulge also comes with a 4GB MicroSD card with Iron Man 2 pre-loaded, and the Indulge supports cards up to 32GB in capacity. (I think J.J. Abrams' Star Trek on the Craft was a better movie offering, but the Indulge gets a bigger card include, so there.)

Given that MetroPCS doesn't have all those annoying yearly contracts and such, the Galaxy Indulge looks expensive given that the $399 price tag isn't subsidized. But you do get carrier freedom. Look for it online and on shelves later this week.
