After watching Microsoft's latest "It's a PC" ad I don't think I need to see any more to know how they go.

Here's the latest ad:

Here's what a Microsoft's "It's a PC" ad consists on:

  • Someone (an actor) wants a computer.
  • They have a vague idea of what they want (although not enough experience to know whether the product they pick actually delivers what they want).
  • They have an upper price limit in mind.
  • They go shopping in a bricks-and-mortar store.
  • They look at a few systems.
  • They take a peek at the Mac.
  • They dismiss the Macs with a few off-hand remarks (in this ad it's "they're kinda popular with this age" - yeah, loads of kids roam around with MacBooks and MacBook Pros - and the classic "they're way more money, dude!").
  • They end up buying a PC.
  • They walk out of the store happy ...

After watching all three ads (previous ones here and here) the message I'm starting to get is that Microsoft will pay you to go for a PC ...

... when do I get to go shopping?
