TabCo is a Fusion Garage reboot, reveals Grid 10 tablet and Grid 4 smartphone

So, after a lot of mindless and irritating teasing, TabCo reveals itself to be a reboot of Fusion Garage and unveils a new tablet and smartphone.

If the name Fusion Garage sound vaguely familiar then their one and only product might also ring a bell - the JooJoo tablet (also know as briefly as the CrunchPad). I'm not going to rake over that suffice to say that it launched and was then never heard of again.

So, what does Fusion Garage TabCo have for us this time? Well, there's a tablet called the Grid 10 and a smartphone called the Grid 4.

The Grid 10 is a 10-inch tablet featuring a 1,366x769 resolution screen (the highest of any tablet currently on the market) and features an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. The OS is an Android spin-off called Grid OS, and there's an app store called the Grid Shop.

So what differentiates the OS from Android? Well, the default search engine is Microsoft's Bing and there's an option to remove the Google Chrome browser ... hmmm.

The tablet will sell for $499 for the WiFi-only model and $599 for a WiFi/3G model. It's already available for pre-order on Amazon.

Then there's the Grid 4 smartphone. 4-inch screen, 600x48- screen res, Qualcomm CPU, quad-band GSM, 1,300mAh battery, 16GB of storage, tri-band HSDPA, quad-band GSM, two cameras and so on. All that can be yours for $399, carrier unlocked. This will ship some time in Q4.

If you're interested, my advice would be to wait for the initial reviews to come in. Pre-ordering this would make me very nervous indeed.
