Online lingerie sites are holding their own

You're not likely to get your knickers in a twist buying your smalls online...

You're not likely to get your knickers in a twist buying your smalls online...

None of the UK's online lingerie sellers managed to achieve full marks in the IMRG's latest tests, but, in general, clicking for your kecks is a rewarding experience. The Interactive Media in Retail Group, an industry body representing the interests of e-tailers, sends out a 'mystery shopper' every month to check out the web offerings of companies across a wide range of industries - and this time was the turn of the underwear vendors. Argos Additions, Briefs4men, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Fig Leaves, Pants4men, and Tesco all picked up four out of five stars in the survey, proving that things are pretty good in the online knicker buying world - but all could do better. Some well-known names, including Ann Summers, Gossard and Playtex, only picked up three stars. The 'mystery shopper' said in a statement: "Buying lingerie/underwear couldn't be easier - if you're a woman of course! Limited product range for men and children, but there's a large and varied choice of products for women. Whether it's something comfortable (Bridget Jones) or something on the naughty side (Ann Summers), there's something for every occasion."
