Not exactly the Pirelli calendar
Excellence in UK call centres is to be recognised through a competition devised by Datapoint, a partner of enterprise networking giant Avaya. The call centre services specialist is asking for photos and supporting explanations of working environments. The 12 best will be made into a calendar and distributed to over 3,000 call centre managers. While the competition has a serious role, there is also a first prize of either a day's neck massages for agents, a large tropical fish tank serviced for a year or a selection of plants with a year's maintenance. Datapoint CEO Sarah Faux said in a statement that the winners will have kept their staff motivated, boosted their morale and made them happier and more productive. "A first-rate working environment is an acknowledgement by employers of the critical role that agents play in a company's relationship with its customers," she said. The competition is open until 30 October to UK businesses and entry forms are available from Natalie Field on 020 8242 8680.
