Clive Longbottom

Clive Longbottom is founder and research director of Quocirca. Clive trained as a chemical engineer before working as a research scientist covering areas as diverse as anti-cancer drugs, car exhaust catalysts, and fuel cells. Through a to…rtuous path, he ended up in the world of IT, where he worked on various projects as a team worker, project leader, project manager, and head of department. Through another tortuous path, he evolved into an IT analyst working with META Group (now part of Gartner). Clive’s view is that IT is just a means to an end – it is only the (hopefully) positive impact that IT has on business that matters.
