Microsoft spent a reported $500 million to buy the popular cloud security company.
Microsoft now has more than 180,000 employees in more than 100 countries.
The 21 groups will be awarded between $100,000 and $250,000 for one year and access to Azure Cloud computing resources.
Once the tool is available, customers will be able to buy the platform directly from Microsoft as a standalone offering costing $3 per user per month.
The Security Program for Nonprofits will offer nonprofits free security assessments, training and access to Microsoft security tools.
Microsoft customers have long complained about the inability to mute noisy features within Teams.
The partnership is part of Microsoft's 100/100/0 environmental commitment.
Leveraging Verizon 5G Edge with Microsoft Azure Stack Edge, the solution "enables the ultra-low latency needed to deploy real-time enterprise applications," the companies said in a statement.
Cloud security company Wiz discovered the bug back in October.
