Jawbone makes excellent Bluetooth headsets and is expanding into the speaker and health markets. The Jambox is one of the best portable speakers I have ever heard.

Walt Mossberg says 3G iPhone coming within 60 days
There has been a lot of speculation on when the 3G version of the iPhone would be coming, but today Walt Mossberg appeared to let the cat out of the bag in a video where he states that the 3G iPhone will be released within 60 days.
First impressions of the Nokia N78 with S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 and FM transmitter
When it rains, it pours and I am getting swamped with new mobile devices to evaluate right now with the HTC Advantage 7510, Nokia N82, and now the Nokia N78. The Nokia N78 is the successor to the very popular Nokia N73 with significant improvements, including WiFi, GPS receiver, S60 Feature Pack 2, and a FM transmitter. The image gallery and some thoughts below form my first impressions since I have only had the device for about a day and a half. I plan to post a more detailed review after at least a couple weeks of using the device, especially in regards to S60 Feature Pack 2.
T-Mobile announces the WiFi-enabled BlackBerry Pearl, Verizon finally gets the Curve
With the recent announcement of the AT&T WiFi-enabled BlackBerry Pearl we all knew it was just a matter of time before T-Mobile was going to announce one with support for the HotSpot @Home service. Today, T-Mobile announced that the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 will be available on 14 April. Like the AT&T model, the 8120 features a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, support for the HotSpot @Home service and T-Mobile myFaves, Bluetooth with A2DP support, and enhanced SureType keyboard with word completion, easier editing of misspelled words, and built-in spell checker.
An OQO with OLED and Intel processor could be revealed at CES
One mobile device I never owned, but almost pulled the trigger on a couple of times, was the OQO. However, it is way out of my price range, starts at $1,299 and accessories are expensive too, and I could never justify the price. The nicest high-end model is a whopping US$2,999 too. Rob Bushway mentioned that the Digital Experience vendor email list revealed that an updated OQO will be revealed at CES next week.
Are MIDs irrelevant in today's smartphone world?
We just finished recording Mobile Tech Roundup show #153 where we spent a large chunk of time talking about MIDs. James posted an article this morning asking if MIDs are irrelevant in today's market with the powerful smartphones and other devices like the iPod Touch and Nokia Internet Tablets. As you will hear in the upcoming podcast, I agree with James that the MIDs may be coming too late to the party to have much of an impact and it begs the question, "Who will buy a MID?"
Full review of the T-Mobile G1 consumed most of my week
I have to say sorry to any readers who have been wanting to see more posts here on my blog, but my last week has been consumed by the T-Mobile G1 as you can see in my review with over 260 images and 5 videos posted over on my Smartphones & Cell Phones blog. I wanted to mention it here since my other blog is still quite new and many readers here may not have yet subscribed to my other blog. I also wanted to mention it here because I think the Google Android OS will go further than just the mobile phone with talk that it could challenge the embedded Windows CE OS seen in enterprise and other devices.
What is the best method for picking up an iPhone 3G on July 11th?
Now that we know what the AT&T Apple iPhone 3G pricing plans will be on 11 July, I am trying to figure out what will be the best way to purchase my iPhone 3G. It seems that you may not be able to order one online and will have to make your purchase at a retail location and activate it just like other mobile phones you buy today. Let me know in the poll what you think the best method will be for picking up an iPhone 3G next Friday and the results will help me plan my purchase method.
Camera UI and photo comparison between four high end Windows Mobile devices
As readers here know, I have been checking out the HTC Touch Diamond and found the camera to be one of the first on a Windows Mobile device that actually works quite well. My buddy Arne Hess, from the::unwired, just posted a great article that compares the camera software and photo quality between the HTC Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Samsung Omnia SGH-i900, and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. I am just impressed that Arne is able to get so much hands-on time with each of these devices.
Run, don't walk, and pick up a REDFLY Mobile Companion for $199.95
I wrote up my first thoughts of the Celio Corp REDFLY Mobile Companion back in March, then I bought my own in May and then the price dropped from US$499 to US$399.95 in August. Well, now you can pick this device up for only US$199.95 and IMHO that is a steal for anyone with a Windows Mobile device looking to be productive on the go. I understand this is a "seeding" price that is only good until 31 October and I guess the intent must be to get the device out there and have people talk it up.
