Carrier IQ is good for you, so why get so spun up?
Carrier IQ provides software for carriers to track issues on your phone to help make the service you pay for better. So why in the world are so many people spun up about the software?

Steve had some strong feelings about design alternatives at Apple and now that he is no longer the CEO I wonder if any of these hardware strategies and designs will change.
Evernote is one of the most useful services I have found on my mobile devices and they are now showcasing third party products in The Trunk.
Apple uses some terms that seem to exaggerate a bit when describing their products, but after 3 weeks of using the iPad I think they may have been right in describing the iPad. Here are four reasons why the iPad is magical and revolutionary to me.
After speaking with some people who have seen the new Zune HD and thinking about their subscription service that I am a big fan of I decided to pre-order my Zune HD yesterday. I just received an email from the Microsoft Zune service that gives me a heads-up on the planned service update for next week (text of email is below). I understand the Zune Marketplace software will be updated and am very curious to see what that will include.
Back when I saw the TeleNav client come to the T-Mobile G1 I knew it was just a matter of time before we would see this application come to the Apple iPhone. It has taken Apple a lot longer than I thought it would for them to open up true voice navigation, but the 3.0 OS now allows for this functionality and TeleNav wasted no time at all in rolling out AT&T Navigator for the Apple iPhone. Check out my image gallery containing screenshots of the application and service in action, as well as my video below. The application is quite fast and responsive on the iPhone 3GS and is pretty full featured. There are some areas for improvements, but it is a great first start and I am excited to see it on the iPhone.
Microsoft announced the Zune 3.0 software last week and today you can download and install the new desktop and Zune device software update. I just finished installing the desktop software and plan to update my black 4GB Zune soon too. The Zune 3.0 software includes Buy from FM, wireless access to the Zune Marketplace, and more.
I posted on my experiences with the iPhone 3G and upgraded original iPhone last week and there were quite a few comments posted by readers, with many stating they were seeing the same behavior. Apple fans (I enjoy many Apple products myself) said we must be doing something wrong and the application launch failures were not present. According to AppleInsider Steve Jobs has acknowledged the problem and said the bug would be fixed in the next software update in September. So it seems I wasn't crazy after all, right?
