MIT gets $100M donation on a whim

A wealthy alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has donated $100 millionto his alma mater, the largest gift the university has everreceived and one of the largest in higher education, MIT saidon Monday. Kenan Shahin, who founded software design firm KenanSystems Corp, surprised the audience at an MIT fund-raisingevent on Saturday when he announced the gift.
