Microsoft NZ Web site defaced

A grammatically challenged cybervandal replaced Microsoft's (msft) local New Zealand site on Monday with a Web page poking fun at the software giant's poor security. The same vandal also defaced the media Web site of the Ford Motor Co.

Opponents in what was expected to be the first legal test of the newly-enacted Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection Act have opted not to try the case in court and have settled their dispute. Domain holders Justin Nicholas and Aaron Brett of New Zealand have agreed to transfer the AmericasCup.
