Most small-business owners aren't photographers or graphic designers in their spare time, and as the social mediasphere gets more visual, that's proving to be a challenge. One of the most widely used Facebook page editing and management tools, Pagemodo (which actually is owned by the Webs subsidiary of the VistaPrint small-business services company), has updated its platform with a particular emphasis on helping small companies more easily manage the images they post on Facebook.

Here's what's included:

  • Hundreds of customizable themes that can be personalized with choices from the Pagemodo image library or with a small company's logos or images
  • A shape and text editor that can be used for various font or word effects
  • The ability to export the images and graphics created for Facebook for use with email marketing or, even, print collateral
  • The ability to post visual creations to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn; posts can be timed and synchronized according to various publishing parameters

More than 1 million people currently use the Pagemodo service across 104 countries. There's a free account offering that lets you manage one Facebook page, along with one custom tab. After that, the basic service starts at $6.25 per month (or $75 for an annual plan).
