10 awesome and unique USB flash drives

This is one of the most unique USB thumb drives I think I've ever seen. They're a bit pricy at ~$40, and you'll have to brush up on your Japanese to order one (which means you can probably expect to pay a fair amount in shipping), but it just might be worth it for this excellent work of art, titled "Blank," by Hum!

This USB thumb drive made the rounds on a number of tech/gadget sites back in 2009, and it's easy to see why. Since then, a bevy of custom-made steampunk USB drives have been showing up on sites like Etsy. Be forewarned that most of these custom jobs aren't cheap, with many coming in at ~$100 for nowhere near the amount of space on the drive that you'd get going with a typical retail USB device. However, if you're looking to stand out amongst the crowd, most of these custom drives are one-offs, so that certainly helps to justify the cost.

For the inner Vulcan in you Star Wars fans out there, these scarely-available USB drives would make an excellent addition to your collection. If you're lucky, you might find one floating around on eBay... or, this site says they have a few of them available, signed by Leonard Nemoy (I'd seek to verify the authenticity before purchasing one, though).

P.S. If you about had an aneurysm because I said "Star Wars" instead of "Star Trek," then you might just be a likely candidate for one of these!
