Those who travel frequently for business know too well how long days away from a power outlet can push any smartphone to the limit. Portable battery packs are a nice solution to get the phone through even the longest day with juice in the tank.

The EasyAcc 6000 mAh pack is one of the best available. Simply charge the pack before heading out the door and rest assured you can charge any phone 1.5 times.

This battery pack features two USB ports for charging, one that uses a built-in microUSB cable and the other that accepts any charging cable. The latter features smart technology that analyzes any gadget plugged in to determine the fastest way to charge it.

Those wanting to keep the kit as small as possible will like the Travelcard Charger. This slim device can fit in most wallets and will charge the iPhone through an integrated Lightning cable.

To facilitate recharging the Travelcard there is a second built-in USB cable. All you need to carry is the Travelcard when you head out.

Ionic Wallet Case for Galaxy S7

Smartphone cases with a portfolio or wallet style have become popular as phones have gotten bigger. These cases protect the phone and often have storage pockets for essentials.

The leather case from Ionic is a case for the Samsung Galaxy S7 that has all the essentials. It holds the S7 in the portfolio case and opens to expose the display. On the left side of the case when opened there are several pockets for cash, cards, and a driver's license.

Kuke Battery Case for iPhone 6, 6S, 6 Plus, 6s Plus

Some prefer to have an external battery in the phone case to serve double duty. These usually add bulk to the slim iPhone but not so much with the Kuke Battery Case.

This case impressed us when we reviewed it as it is not much bigger than a standard case yet has a battery inside to keep the iPhone running through even the longest travel days. It also features additional storage for bringing music and videos on the trip.

Owners of the latest smartphone from Samsung will find the Mophie Juice Pack to be a good battery case. The Juice Pack adds just a little bulk to the Galaxy S7 yet has a 2,950mAh battery to keep it going for a long time.

Mophie has models for various iPhone models, too.

Belkin Charge and Sync Dock

A dock makes it easier to charge your iPhone, especially a dock with an integrated Lightning connector. That's the case with the Charge and Sync Dock from Belkin. Set the iPhone on the connector and the phone will charge.

There is an integrated USB cable in the dock for either powering it with a laptop or using it with an existing iPhone charger.

We found the Belkin Charge and Sync Dock on Amazon for $20.28. It should work with any iPhone with a Lightning connector for charging.

Belkin ChargeSync Dock for microUSB

IPhone owners aren't the only ones served by a dock from Belkin, as the ChargeSync Dock has a microUSB connector for using with Android phones.

It has a USB cable like the iPhone version and is designed to work with both smartphones and tablets.

Amazon Tap

Portable speakers can be useful on the road and the Amazon Tap is that and far more. The Tap is a Bluetooth speaker that works with iOS and Android at the basic level, plus it has a full Amazon Echo inside the small cylinder.

You can do anything with the Tap that you can do with an Amazon Echo. It is operated by voice for ease of use. We were impressed by the Amazon Tap when we reviewed it.
