10 Hottest Nintendo 3DS titles for 2012 revealed

    You already know Super Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart 7 are heading to a Nintendo 3DS near you this winter (November 13 and December 4, to be exact), but what other titles are coming down the pipe beyond 2011? At the 3DS press conference in Japan today, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata showed off a number of first- and third-party games that would make even hardcore gamers add the 3DS to their holiday wish list. Here's your first look at 10 of the hottest 3DS titles most likely to reach America in 2012.

    Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater

    According to Siliconera, this Konami 3DS title that features "photo camouflage and tilt sensitive suspension bridges" will be landing in Japan some time this winter.

    Resident Evil: Revelations

    Considered "the best looking thing on the 3DS" by Kotaku, Capcom's Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS will also be making a winter debut in Japan this year.

    Tekken 3D Prime Edition

    When not pummeling your digital arch nememsis in three-dimensions in Tekken 3D Prime Edition, you can watch the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie included on the cartridge. This Namco Bandai game is set for a winter release in Japan this year.

    Fire Emblem 3DS

    Fire Emblem for the 3DS is the first in the franchise to feature cooperative play for up to four players and offers 3D models like those in the Wii and GameCube versions. It will be available in Japan in early 2012.

    Monster Hunter 3G

    Graphic and immersive, this Monster Hunter for the 3DS practically stole the show at the 3DS press conference in Tokyo today. It is the first game that pairs with the slide pad peripheral, which adds a right thumbstick to the handheld console. The Capcom title will be hitting stores across Japan on December 10, 2011.

    Animal Crossing

    The beloved franchise is finally coming to the 3DS; this iteration features the ability to lead and personalize a village, as well as view the homes of other players you meet via StreetPass. Animal Crossing for the 3DS is slated for both Japan and America in 2012.
