Alcatel has revealed the firm's new CareTime smartwatch, a variation aimed at children rather than adult users.
A useful option for adults other than the standard smartwatch-and-smartphone combinations which are often priced at a premium, the smartwatch is equipped with a 2G radio, limited call facilities and GPS tracking. Parents can then track the location of the device via an app to keep a remote eye on their kids in real-time, and can choose to be notified if the watch leaves designated safe zones.
