Component vendor Cooler Master showed off a demonstration system with a total clock speed of 53.2GHz at the CeBIT trade show this week in Hanover, Germany.

This screenshot shows the system at work. Cooler Master developer Rene Gray is testing it with a prime-number program that puts a full load on all the CPU cores.

The two water-cooling towers keep the system temperature down and ensure the CPUs do not become hotter than the Northbridge chipset.
