Gallery: Leaked Google Pixel and Pixel XL promo images
Google Pixel and Pixel XL promotional material from Canadian carrier Bell and retailer Carphone Warehouse seemingly reveals all about the new handsets made by HTC.
Google Pixel
Google's next round of smartphones are set to be announced on October 4, and it seems retailers have leaked things early.
Pixel
The 5-inch Pixel, believed to be made by HTC, is expected to have a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 821 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, a fingerprint sensor, microSD slot, and nanoSIM technology. Don't expect to see HTC branding.
Pixel XL
The larger Pixel XL is said to have a 5.5-inch screen, with an upgraded battery. The smaller Pixel will have a 2770mAh battery, while the Pixel XL will have 3450mAh battery.
Pixel
The leaks didn't provide a release date or price, but did give us camera details. The Pixel and Pixel XL are said to have a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.55-micron pixels and an f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
USB-C
Sticking with the industry trend, Google has chosen USB-C for the Pixel line.
Unlimited photos
The images from Carphone Warehouse also confirm Google will offer free unlimited photo backups to Google Photos with both smartphones.
