Three Gear4 case options for the Galaxy Note 10 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is arguably the best smartphone available today, see our full review, with prices of $1099 and $1199. It has a high level of dust and water resistance, but being constructed of glass it is still susceptible to breakage if dropped.

ZAGG sent along three Gear4 cases to try out with the Note 10 Plus, including the Battersea, Piccadilly, and Crystal Palace. These cases are priced at $49.99, $39.99, and $39.99, respectively.

Gear4 cases unboxed

The Battersea case is only available in black with an orange interior and orange highlights. The orange interior material is the D30 material.

The Piccadilly case is available in black or blue with the color appearing as embedded strips along the edges of the case.

The Crystal Palace is available in Clear and Iridescent color options. I tested the clear one with an Aura Glow Note 10 Plus. The lovely rainbow colors of the Aura Glow model shines through the clear case.

Rear camera opening on the Battersea case

The Battersea case has curved silicone texture on the inside and outside that protects the back of the Note 10 Plus while also providing an extreme grip surface to hold onto your phone.

There is an ample camera opening on the back so that no negative impact is present on the cameras.

Extreme grip design of the Gear4 Battersea

The Gear4 branding, and typical orange highlight, is present on the bottom left of the back. The design of the raised rubber texture extends out from the Gear4 label.

Wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare both work when your Note 10 Plus is inside the case.

Bottom openings in the Battersea case

There are openings on the bottom for the USB-C port, speaker, mic, and S Pen silo.

The D30 technology uses enhanced polymer chemistry that stiffens on impact to absorb shock and protect your phone. The Battersea case is rated for 16 feet (5 meters). It is the most protective of the three cases sent for evaluation.

Note 10 Plus mounted in the Piccadilly case with black highlights

Three levels of protection are incorporated in the Piccadilly case. The black frame piece is 3DO material, with a TPU frame that provides excellent side grip, and a back polycarbonate material that is the same type also used in bulletproof glass.

Left side buttons and the black border

The raised buttons on the Piccadilly case make it easy to press the power and volume buttons. The sides are very well protected with the D30 material.

Sides support the curved edge display on the Note 10 Plus

The Gear4 cases all have well-constructed edges so that the curved edges of the display are fully functional. The edges are protected with an adequate thickness around the edges while not taking away from any capability of the phone.

Rear camera openings in Crystal Palace case

The Crystal Palace case has a 13 feet (4 meters) drop certification. It is composed of two integrated pieces with the edges made of D30 Crystalex material and a back piece of polycarbonate.

The case allows the full brilliance of the Aura Glow color to shine through while also giving you the assurance that your phone is well-protected.
