Here's the box, straight off the FedEx truck. That's the previous generation Apple TV, sitting on top, waiting to see its new bigger, younger brother.

Here's the box you'll probably get if you got to an Apple Store. It's a bit bigger and heavier than the last generation.

This is our first look inside. The Apple TV hockey puck looks pretty much the same as the old one, but the remote is quite different.

There's more stuff under the Apple TV and the remote. But what?

Ah. Here's everything inside the box. The most interesting is the USB-to-lightning cable, which is used for charging the remote --while the back of the Apple TV has a USB-C port.

Here are the last and new generation boxes side by side. Optically, the new one looks slightly larger, but that's because it's taller. Depth and width are identical.

Here you see the two generations one above the other. The new box is bigger and has a USB-C port. The old box has an optical audio port that has vanished in the Gen 4 model.

And finally, the two remote controls, side-by-side.
