Google is rolling out a new tool to go with its Google Instant search called Instant Previews. With Instant Preview, a magnifying glass icon will appear during an Instant search that will allow you to preview the page without losing your original search results. Sam Diaz has more on Google's new gadget.
While doing a search for Instant Google (backwards) nothing of interest comes up with "Insta".

But with "Instan" you get the Google Instant site. Note the Instant Preview icons (circled).
By clicking on the icon you get a small picture of the site on the right. If it's not the site you're looking for, you could click on the next icon without leaving the search results - thus saving time. The page image that pops up is too small to read.
When you click on the link or the example on the search page, you get the real thing.
