After a year and a half of wrangling, Google Voice for iPhone has finally arrived on the App Store in the US. The main menu gives you an inbox for managing your Google Voice text and voice messages.
You can read, play and mark messages as favourites in the inbox, which can be sorted in different ways. Pulling down the entire screen with your finger manually refreshes the list.
The bifurcated contacts screen has one view for all contacts and a filtered view where you can see a list of favourite callers and recent calls for faster selection.
Here's what the quick dial and recent call fields look like after making some calls.
Texting looked good within Google Voice, although messages often appeared in our iPhone text inbox in addition to the inbox on the Google Voice app.
