While a few phones come with microSD expansion card slots, many only have integrated storage. Truffol has a new USB stick, the Truffol Dual, that lets you quickly and easily move photos and files from your phone to your computer.
The is a fantastic device, but it comes with a 32GB storage limit. If you capture lots of photos, create Highlight Reels, and have other file transfer needs, then you are a bit limited so this Truffol Dual is a perfect option at a very reasonable price.
The Truffol Dual sells for $19.99 and comes with 16GB of storage, actually about 15GB available. One end has a standard USB 3.0 opening while the other capped end has a microUSB male end. There is a small chain, dedicated chain opening, and clear plastic cap so you can carry the Truffol Dual with you.
I tested the Truffol Dual with the new Moto X, HTC One M8, and Samsung Galaxy S5. I tried using it with my Nokia Lumia 1520, but it was not recognized by that device. You will need a file explorer to manage file transfers, but there are plenty of free ones available in the Google Play Store.
After plugging the microUSB end into your phone and opening a file explorer app then you can copy or move files around. You can then remove the Truffol Dual and insert the full USB end into your computer to continue the file transfer.
While I do sync photos to multiple cloud services, file transfers through a piece of hardware like this are handy and reliable. The Truffol Dual is constructed of shock and waterproof zinc-alloy material and looks great. Truffol offers free global shipping and a 30-day return period too.
